Terms of Service

Welcome to Grounding Glow!

By utilizing our services or browsing our website, you agree to adhere to the following terms. We ask that you read them thoroughly.

Effective: June 2022

1. Booking and Cancellation Policy

  •  Booking: We operate by appointment only. Same-day appointments may be available based on our schedule.

  • Cancellation Notice: Reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees. 

  • Deposit Forfeiture: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will result in forfeiture of any deposits.

  • No-Show Policy: No-shows or late cancellations will incur a 100% retainer fee based on the service price, on the card on file, or invoiced directly.

  • Non-Refundable Services: All services and purchases are non-refundable. Outstanding balances must be settled before future bookings.

2. Deposit Policy

  • Deposits must be received for same-day appointments.   

  • Failure to pay a deposit on time may result in the cancellation of your appointment.

3. Late Arrival

  • Please notify us immediately if you are running late. However, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment due to same-day cancellations.

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointed time to allow time for restroom use, changing, and a brief consultation; arriving on time may result in delays to your service. Ex: Your appointment is 10am your arrive at the door at 10am, ask to use the restroom, we have a short consultation and go over instructions, change...by the time the service starts its 10:20am. Thats 20mins lost! 

  • Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in not receiving the full service booked and could be subject to our no-show cancellation policy.

  • While we recognize that traffic and unforeseen circumstances can arise, we remain committed to upholding our scheduled appointments.

4. Health & Safety

To ensure safety and optimal results, clients must adhere to the following guidelines:     

  • Allergies and Sensitivities: Inform us of any severe allergies or sensitivities. Prolonged lying down may cause temporary puffiness.    

  • Active Acne: Please wait until your skin condition has calmed before booking.      

  • Communicable Illness: Please wait until the cold sore or herpes simplex outbreak has completely cleared. If you sense an outbreak coming on, even if it hasn't presented itself yet, please wait, as failing to do so can result in the virus spreading. If we notice any outbreak, including cold sores or herpes simplex, we will need to cancel the service, in accordance with our cancellation policy.

  • Post-Invasive Procedures:               

    • Botox: Wait at least 2 weeks.      

    • Filler: Wait at least 6 weeks.

    • Threads: Wait at least 12 weeks.         

  • Post-Surgical Procedures:         

    • Facelift: Wait 8 weeks for lymphatic drainage and 1 year for regular massages.         

    • Dental Implants: Avoid buccal massage for 4 months.

5. Text & Email Consent (opt-in

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages regarding appointment scheduling, updates, and promotions.    

  • Message Use Case: Includes service updates and promotional      

  • Message Frequency: Frequency varies.  

  • Fees: Standard message and data rates may apply.

  • Opt-Out Instructions: Reply STOP to opt out at any time. No further messages will be sent.

6. Etiquette & Courtesy

  • Respectful behavior is required at all times. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated & may be subject to refusal of service, and blacklisting from future appointments.   

  • Mobile Phones: Cell phones are to be silenced & kept with your belongings to maintain a relaxing atmosphere.

  • Food and Beverages: Only snacks & beverages provided by Grounding Glow are allowed.

7. Satisfaction & Refunds

      

  • Share concerns before leaving the studio, and we will make every effort to address them promptly.

  • Please note that refunds are not available for services that have been completed. Additionally, we are unable to address issues reported more than 2 days after the service.

8. Right to refuse service

  • Contagious conditions or significantly compromised skin may prevent us from providing services.  

  • Certain health conditions that could be exacerbated by our treatments should be disclosed prior to your appointment.  

  • We kindly request that all clients maintain respectful behavior toward our staff and fellow clients at all times. 

  • Arrivals later than 10 minutes may result in rescheduling your appointment to ensure all clients receive the time and attention they deserve.

9.Liability 

  • We are not liable for any adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed medical conditions or allergies.

  • Clients are responsible for informing us of any relevant medical history prior to receiving services.

  • By participating in our treatments, you acknowledge and accept any associated risks.

  • We recommend consulting with a healthcare professional if you have any concerns regarding your suitability for our services.

10. Updates to terms

We may update these terms periodically. Any changes will be posted on our website.
